Woodvale
Primary has a specialist physical education
teacher. All children participate in skills lessons
and sport sessions each week. Students also
participate in swimming lessons each
year. Years one to five attend the Craigie Leisure
Centre and years six and seven have
lessons at Mullaloo Beach.
Throughout
the year, senior classes participate in various
carnivals and competitions against other schools. In
term 3, students are involved in a inter-faction
athletics carnival. This is
followed by an inter-school athletics carnival involving other
schools in the district. The participation of parents
as helpers, assistants, judges or coaches has always
been welcomed.
Woodvale
Primary School has a number of representative teams in
netball. These teams participate in a Saturday
competition, organised and coached by parents.
Tennis
is also promoted in the school with morning coaching
sessions available through Robinson's Professional
Tennis. Woodvale Primary has been very successful in
the State Primary Tennis championship (The Academy
Plate), winning the boys competition in 1997 and
2002. |
