Woodvale Primary School is located in the northern suburbs of
Perth, Western Australia.
In 2007, the school celebrated its 20th
anniversary. Principal,
Gavin Power is supported by deputies Judy Davis and Frank
Papasergio. Educational programmes at the school for 2009 will continue to focus on the implementation of the
Curriculum Framework and Outcomes/Standards Framework. To achieve this the school will operate a
five-stream specialist programme; Languages (Japanese), Music,
Information Technology, Visual Arts and Physical Education.
Woodvale is currently operating 17 classes from K-7.

The
Independent Public Schools proposal
makes provision for government schools to
become more flexible in their operational
procedures. After submissions of
interest have been evaluated, 30 schools in
Western Australia (primary and secondary)
will be selected to trial aspects of the proposal. |
