Our School

Woodvale Primary School

Woodvale Primary School, located in Perth’s northern suburbs, has provided quality education to students  since opening in 1987. Woodvale Primary is one of two Kindergarten to Year 6 government primary schools in Woodvale. Parent involvement is a feature of the school with an active and engaged Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association and School Board.

Experienced, professional and supportive staff work collaboratively to plan learning experiences for students, based on the WA Curriculum. Classroom teachers, ably supported by education assistants, deliver English, Maths, Health, HASS, Visual Arts, and Digital and Design Technologies curriculum to students from K - 6.

Students are taught specialist subjects, by teachers with a passion for Languages (Japanese from Year 1-6), Music (Pre-Primary - 6), Science (Year 1-6), Art (Year 1-6) and Physical Education (across all primary year levels). The school Choir and Taiko Drumming Club perform at school and community events and both have received high commendation.

The School Board is comprised of five parent members and three staff members, including the school principal. This group meets throughout the year to develop, monitor and discuss the school's strategic direction as documented in the school business plan.
