TECHNOLOGIES

Woodvale Primary School

Our students are preparing for the future  by developing the understandings and skills to analyse and respond to design and/or digital challenges.

All students from kindergarten to Year 6 participate in weekly technologies lessons, delivered by classroom teachers, focused on digital and design technologies. Critical and creative thinking skills are encouraged through rich learning experiences where students are asked to apply their understandings to real life situations.

In addition to explicit lessons focused on the skills and understandings of the technologies curriculum, students use technology purposefully throughout the week. Banks of iPads and laptops are shared between classes to enrich student learning across the curriculum. Students also engage with robotics and circuitry, coding, and apps such as Green Screen, QR Codes, iMovie and more.
